Engraving of the Prussian War-Steamer Nix, built by Robinson & Russell of Millwall, London, 1851. This paddle steamer underwent trials on the Thames river in March and April of that year, averaging 14 knots. The Nix was the second of a class built at Millwall, the first being the Salamander.
