Engraving showing the British Military Hospital at Scutari (now Uskudar) in Istanbul, 1855. This was the Hospital that Florence Nightingale worked at during the Crimean War of 1854-55. This hospital was capable of accommodating 3000 sick or wounded, but in January 1855 only had 2000.
