Historic illustration of Fuller Pilch (1804-1870) batting for Kent against Sussex, 1837. Pilch was one of the best players of his day and from 1835 he was paid the handsome sum of ?100 per year to play for Town Malling, the strongest team in Kent. As can be seen in the illustration, top hats were de rigeur in cricket matches in those days. This historic illustration is available as an unframed giclee print, box canvas print or framed print.
